Let's see how to make this no-fuss hearty comfort food by having a look at the ingredients first.



Cauliflower- 3 cups Florets
Onions- 2 medium
Ginger- 2" piece
Gram flour- 4 Teaspoon
Clarified Butter or Ghee/ Oil- 1 teaspoon
Asafetida- a pinch
Turmeric powder- 1 teaspoon
Dry mango powder- 1/2 teaspoon
White pepper powder- 1.5 teaspoon
Salt- to taste
Lemon Juice- 2 teaspoon


Gram flour or Besan- 1 cup
Salt- to taste
Red Chili Powder- 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala powder- 1 teaspoon
Dry Mango powder- 1 teaspoon
Dry Fenugreek leaves/ kasoori Methi- 2 teaspoon
Carom seeds/ Ajwain- 1 teaspoon
Clarified butter or Ghee/ Oil- 1 teaspoon
Water- to bind



In a pan put cauliflower florets, ginger and onions.
Add in 3 cups of water.
Cover and let it come to a rolling boil.
Lower the flame and let it cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes.
Switch off the flame.
Let it come to room temperature.
With the help of a blender blend the boiled cauliflower mix well.

In a wok or pan put clarified butter.
Keep the heat at low.
Put gram flour and sauté till it gets a nice golden brown color.
Put asafetida and sauté well. 
Now add 1 cup water to the pan. Give the water gram flour mix a good mix so that there are no lumps.
Next, add the pureed cauliflower mix.
Add rest of the ingredients and mix well.
Give it a boil and it's done.
The steaming hot soup is ready.

Now, we will make Gram flour Crackers to pair with this yummy soup. 


In a deep bowl put all the ingredients listed under crackers ingredients list.
With the help of water bind it into a hard dough.
(You will be needing around 1/2 cup- 3/4th cup of water to make this dough).
Keep the dough at rest for 10-15 minutes.
After that, divide the dough in 4 equal portions and make balls.
Roll out one dough ball with the help of a rolling pin. Just make sure to roll it out thin and even.
Prick the rolled out ball with the help of a fork.
Cut it into your desired shape.
Meanwhile, keep a pan on heat.
Grease it with oil.
Put the cut out crackers on the hot pan and lower the flame.
Let them cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes. 
Once done turn them and let them cook on the other side too.
The heat should be low otherwise the crackers will not be crispy.
In the same way make all the crackers.
